Biography
Steve Riegel is a Vice President, Growth Architect at Merkle, a dentsu company, where he founded and leads a team dedicated to developing growth strategies driven by data, design, and customer experience insights. Since 2022, he has delivered substantial business impact, fueling $100M+ in in-year revenue and $125M in pipeline for Merkle’s Top 25 client accounts in 2024, while previously generating over $100M in pipeline and securing $40M+ in contracted TCV in 2023. A trailblazer in Generative AI and the content supply chain for marketers, Steve helped shape and launch innovative AI offerings, applying impactful storytelling and a holistic view of customer experience, industry trends, and technology to drive growth. Known for his people-first leadership, Steve excels as a marketer-to-IT translator and relationship builder, thriving in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
With over 20 years of experience, Steve has a proven track record of
delivering transformational marketing and business development strategies. He
previously held leadership roles at dentsu, where he drove $400M in new growth sales revenue through Strategic Alliance partnerships with Adobe, Salesforce, Oracle, Google, Amazon, and Pega. Steve is a certified ABM expert, published author, and creator of the Marketing Innovation Canvas (MIC). Recognized for his thought leadership in CX Transformation, Audience Mastery, Content Velocity, and Growth Architecture, he has earned multiple accolades, including Merkle’s Thought Influencer (2024) and Excellence in Sales/Growth (2020) awards. Prior to Merkle/dentsu, Steve founded and sold Faction Media, a Denver-based ad agency featured on INC’s 5000 Fastest Growing Private Companies list for three consecutive years. He also served as President of his son’s youth hockey association, applying his leadership skills to both business and personal endeavors.
